Happy Easter, y'all

Mercer is 1 month old today. What an unbelievable first month he has had! Actually, what an unbelievable first month WE have had!!!

We are thankful for so many things... this amazing gift from a young, but brave birthmother out in Colorado... our incredible neighbors who have been on this journey with us as soon as we got back home... and the outpouring of support from our family and friends.

We have never felt so loved. It is such an amazing feeling. We are grateful for everything that has been done to welcome Mercer into our lives!

This blog entry (now that all of the gushy stuff is out of the way) will be short and sweet. Quite frankly -- I ramble a lot -- and all most of you want to do is see pictures!

Here's a shot from Friday where our friends Susan & Chad and their 3 children stopped by to pay Mercer a visit. hmmmm.... looks like they want another baby brother or sister -- doesn't it?! (Not to worry... Mercer is not being visited by savage animals... the kids had their faces painted earlier that day!)

My mom is in town visiting for Easter weekend. She is a proud (first-time) grandma! Saturday, we went to lunch with a group of friends who we still keep in touch with from our days living in Gwinnett -- but snapped a quick 3 generation photo while out.

Today, Todd & I are planning to work on the nursery a bit while "Grandma Gloria" holds Mercer. We are also having a neighbor over for Easter lunch.

Have a wonderful day with your loved ones.
